Appreciating Monday’s– Avoiding Monday Madness

Happy Monday! 

For a while now I have been almost designating Mondays’s as my (almost) day off. I haven’t planned much or else I will feel like I am not getting anything accomplished! So, if I do end up with a very accomplished Monday, it’s just a bonus. 🙂

However, typically Monday’s just end up being CRAZY! Despite the plan or non-plan! I need to work on my Monday’s! If I could just stay in bed all day on Monday’s that would just be great!

I did a pretty good job of planning out my week, this week, but we will see. I tend to underestimate the unexpected life events that always take place.

I am still working on and planning, my intentions for November! This is a short month, and November always goes by SOooooo FAST!

On another note: I am loving the time change! I AM REALLY FEELING THE EXTRA HOUR IN MY DAY! Although, I am tired a LOT earlier! But, with the extra really feels like I can get a LOT more accomplished!

Here is my, Top Ten for a good Monday! (Or a good Morning in General!)

  1. Meal Prep on Sundays! Saturday’s are for grocery shopping!
  2. I do not set an alarm on Monday, unless I HAVE to be up early for something.
  3. Wake up with Gratitude. Write. (Morning Pages!) or sometimes Yoga.
  4. Meditate before I even think about touching electronics!
  5. Chill and kind of absorb what is going on for the week and think about how I want my week to go and what I want to accomplish.
  6. Have my Detox Water ready to go upon waking.
  7. Sunday night’s, I have a spa night! Sometimes it could be on Saturday’s.
  8. Lay out my clothes for the day on Sunday’s.
  9. Take into account my families plans for the week!
  10. Start off the week with a good workout (typically it’s a evening on a Monday!) and eat clean to my fuel my body.

If all else fails…..Stay in BED and read all day!

I believe there is a force in all of us that keeps us going. And, if we pay attention, it directs us where to go and helps us with our own life path. Some people don’t realize it’s even there and ignore the signs. Others just have a higher intuition and “just KNOW.”  You can call it whatever you want. But, bottom line is we are all made out of energy and need to keep that “Balance” in check. I can totally feel when my life it out of balance and my energy is out of whack and periods of extreme lows etc.

That is WHY……

But, also have some work to put in so I can truly enjoy my upcoming adventures when I squeeze in some FUN time, travel, and hopefully…. lots of fun in the Sun!

Thankful Thursday — Back to Basics

Happy Thankful Thursday!

Today I am thankful for….

Life.

Good Morning. If you read my blog you would know, I complained in the past, a lot about “SUPER” early morning wake-ups! Lately, I had been waking up around 9-10 A.M. My sleep schedule is all messed up and it feels like the days have been flying by and I am just not getting anything done by sleeping in that late, when I am waking up so late groggy . This morning I woke up around 4:45 A.M. and got out of bed a little after 5 A.M. A perfect time in my opinion. I had been on one extreme or another. Need to find my middle ground and start waking up on my own, somewhere between 5-6 A.M would be ideal.

I decided, I am in desperate need to get back on a  sleep schedule with early wake-ups and get my motivation and energy back!

I am still grieving the loss of my Mother In Law. I really didn’t know that it would hit me so hard. Ever since my Mother in Law was released from the hospital straight to my house, at the very beginning of January, I feel like my “LIFE” has been on hold. There has been non-stop stress in my life, and that needs to change. My Mother and Father in Law, have not lived more than five minuets away my entire marriage. I did not grow up here. When I was seventeen I got on a Greyhound Bus to go visit my future husband and family in Washington State from Michigan and never really looked back. I took on his family as my own with all the family drama and love, that come along with it. Now, with both parents gone, I feel lost. I have ALL of her stuff in my house, her things, literally take up three rooms in my house.  I have not been able to “deal” with her stuff yet. I think I sunk into a little bit of depression. I’m lucky to keep up on the dailies and keeping the main areas clear. However, moving forward has been harder than I could ever have imagined. It’s felt like I have been overwhelmed and stressed out since this year has started.

My daughter just had foot surgery a couple days ago and is non-weight bearing for 6 weeks and at least three months recovery time. Then she will do the other foot. So, now I am taking care of her. And, trust me she is more work than my Mother in Law was while she was dying. I feel like I just haven’t had a chance to “Just Breathe!”

This morning, while everyone is sleeping, I finally feel ready to get back to life. I am ready to enjoy life. I am ready to live each day to it’s fullest. I am ready to take back control of my home, health, and other responsibilities.

Moving Forward…..

Goals, Dreams, Life, Success, It’s MY time. Time to get back to putting myself first. The first step is just “showing up!” The second step, “showing up!” And, the third step, “showing up!” I am still on Spring break, and ready to “deal” with all the stuff of my Mother In Laws. This is going to require a LOT of work and a BIG yard sale.

Back on the Mat and back on the road! Signing up today for the Bloomsday Marathon in Spokane Washington. It’s at the beginning of May, so I am starting my training NOW. I have 38 days to prepare for this. Working out everyday, and stopping stress eating is one of my main priorities. A daily session with my Yoga Mat to avoid injury and get myself centered and grounded again is TOP Priority!

One day at a time!!!!!!

Daily blogging is also on my priority list. Also, my own personal writing, some awesome freelance opportunities, and continue writing my book. I’ve had days the past few months, where I couldn’t even bring myself to turn on my computer. Also, there are some awesome giveaways, and a total blog “make-over” coming SOON!

As ALWAYS, my plate is full. But, full of wonderful things to look forward to. Accomplishments to achieve and GOALS to focus on, to keep me busy and LIVE my life with the intention of finding balance and just jumping right back in with 110% effort to accomplish what I want and need!

So, Thankful Thursday! I am thankful that I have a renewed focus and new appreciation of living each day to it’s fullest.

Monday Madness — Inspiration — Motivation — Oh My

Happy Monday!

Woke up this morning to puppies my dogs new puppies and feeling really inspired and motivated to have a great week! They are adorable but a lot of work! I think my son stayed up all night while she was having them!

O.K. So, my digital detox is over. But, I am going to take some of what I’ve learned last week, to carry me through this week. I don’t need to be plugged in 24-7 and I am going to work on being more productive when I am online. (Work smarted not harder!)

It is such a weird feeling, I have a visitor coming today and I am NOT stressed about it. Yes, I have a little cleaning to do. but I am no longer living in total CHAOS! It’s so weird to keep up on stuff around the house. I’ve been letting my home hold me back for longer than I can remember. Slowly my home is coming together. Not just my home, but ME in general. I have been practicing lots on of daily self-care. I took quite a break here, focused on myself and keeping up with everything. Took lots of downtime while I have been in “transition” getting my Mother in Law moved in and back to better health, getting my home in order and keeping up with daily routines.

I can do more!

I consider myself a lifelong learner. Besides school, I spend my free time…. learning! I love learning about  different things. I realized how un-balanced all the areas in my life are. It’s getting better, but it’s still a lot of work that needs to be done. With everything that has been crazy that has been going on in my life, I still feel like I am in control. And… guess what?!?! I AM in control.

YES!

I’m really excited to get to the gym today and get my week started off right. Other than some allergies, the “I’m sick” excuse isn’t gonna “fly” anymore!

I have goals, dreams intentions……..

When I think about the main thing that I need to be doing in order to achieve balance in all my areas, my health is priority #1. It’s time to start 1/2 Marathon training, daily yoga, and work on my “own personal” exercise routines.

Another BIG focus…..

Going 100% Gluten/Wheat Free.

I know I’ve mentioned it before, but it’s a lot easier to “say” that I will do it than it is to actually “live it.” and Guess What?!?!? It’s time to live it. I’m not one of those people that are going on some “new” craze. I really should have no wheat or gluten and I know this. Every time I slip, I physically regret it. That always doesn’t stop me. Gonna start getting super creative in the Kitchen and just come to terms with “No More.” There are plenty of things that I can eat that I don’t NEED to put my body through pain just to have one stupid snack or meal that doesn’t serve me as fuel.

I may be a slow learner, but I am getting it! I feel myself coming together and it feels amazing!

This week….

* I choose to focus on my house, get the areas organized that I have been avoiding. (Trust me there are a lot, even if the main areas are company/visitor friendly!

* I choose to FUEL my body with “real food.”

* I choose to get to the gym everyday! (#noExcuses)

* Time management. Yes, I need to work on this. My digital detox may be over, however I need to keep a actually schedule and limit my time on stuff that sucks me in to getting stuck.

I’m gonna keep on keeping on! Keep clearing space, space, and more space. Make room for some new exciting stuff to come into my life.

So, what had been my secret to getting all of this to come together?!?! Honestly, going through this Feng Shui Catalyst camp has been life changing! Seriously, you should go check her out, Dana from The Tao of Dana is pretty amazing, and even if your not in the camp the blog and her You Tube Channel is filled with lots of inspiration and just some really good and positive ideas!

It’s not all superstitious Feng Shui, it’s just a energy thing. I mean ear ARE made up of energy!!! The changes that are happening feel like a “miracle” to me.

It’s all about complete “Wellness!” Mind, Body, & Soul connection!

Fashionably Early Friday’s — Superbowl Weekend Edition

TGIF! Happy Friday!

Another super early morning for me! Woke up at 3am, finally decided to drag myself out of bed at 4am. I don’t know why this happens to me every Friday Morning, without fail. I have been even trying to stay up late, so that I can sleep in and it does not work on Friday’s no matter how hard I try! all I can say is I can’t wait until nap-time today! O well, I’m up and going to make myself productive and start getting ready for Superbowl #49 Weekend!

Working on Menu & workout planning for the weekend! Just because it’s a holiday, doesn’t give me permission to fall off the wagon, #NoExcuses I am going to be making some deliciously healthy treats! But, a few indulgences will not hurt me! I am really excited about this Superbowl! I may do a little shopping for a New Jersey this morning as well!

There is one thing I hate about holidays, (yes, I consider Superbowl Weekend a National Holiday) and that is…. crowded stores! I am getting all my shopping and errands done this morning! Also, getting the house cleaned and all my homework done today so that I can actually enjoy the weekend! Probably, why I woke up so early. I am going to hit up Hot Yoga this morning, after my appointments.  Get it all done this morning and then…….. take an Amazing Nap this afternoon!

I do appreciate my morning’s while everyone is sleeping, but 3am is just crazy! I need to re-set my internal alarm clock to something more along the line of 5-6am. That would be great, and I wouldn’t be dragging all day. But, I’m up and it’s time to get busy setting myself up for a great weekend! And, a great nap!

Thankful Thursday — Vacation Time

Happy Thursday!

I am so THANKFUL today! I was so excited today, that I literally sprung from bed at 3AM and did a happy dance. Then I woke up and started my list of everything to take care of before I actually get out the door. Have a lot of homework, clean, packing, etc. But, I am becoming so much more Organized, that it’s going to be easy pretty easy to get ready, just a little time consuming. I decided last night It was bed early instead or getting everything ready last night. Well it wouldn’t feel like a “vacation” if I wasn’t scrambling around and forgetting stuff.

Where am I going? Well, it’s not a tropical beach, but I’ll take it!

At any rate… a getaway is much needed! It sure beats all these “stay cations” that I tend to do in the Winter!

Can you say “Cabin Fever?!?!?!?!!”

Not sure how long I will be gone for, but I will be grateful for anytime that me an hubby get!I am running away from the last couple weeks. I can’t decide if I want to totally “unplug” electronics, while I am away. I am trying to stay until Sunday, because I got invited to a Lorna Jane Downtown Seattle event, workout with Jenn from, For the Glow on Sunday afternoon. we planned on coming home Sunday. But now I really want to stay!

Seattle isn’t that far from me, about a four hour drive. One good thing is….I know that it’s the healthiest place on Earth and I am really good at staying on track in Seattle!

Anyways, a Vacation is a Vacation! I’m leaving kids in charge of Mother in Law, or am I leaving Mother in Law in charge of kids? Defiantly the Kids are in charge LOL!

Note to self — Need to plan MORE getaways! I real Vacation with a Beach and Sunshine… needs to get planned for Spring Break A.S.A.P. !!!!

Pretty much packing workout gear and one nice outfit. 😉 Forgetting stuff like underwear and socks on purpose so that I “have” to but new haha!

I have a lot to do and hubby it the type that jumps out of bed and says, “leaving in five min,” so I better get busy. ❤

Spending some quirt time this morning, mentally preparing myself for my week! Planning is KEY! I have something to look forward to, a little getaway to Seattle this weekend! Which means I have to get super prepared!

Planning workouts, meals, (again) working on my time management skills this week.

TOTALLY looking forward to some away time!

Been having a ME morning! Gonna go take a hot detox bath &, mani/pedi and get everything organized and scheduled!

Plan for Success!

Include time for myself in my weekly plan! I am making everything harder on myself than it needs to be.

Wrote out myself a weekly “Pep Talk” in my journal this morning!

Every week work on my writing, block some time EVERY DAY for personal writing. Personal Goal is to work on getting something published! This month focus on articles. Let some of my creativity out! This IS my ME time!

Each week stop waiting until last second for homework assignments.

Have FUN! (Figure out what that is again!?!)

Take some weight off. I know what to do, just have to DO IT! No specific weight goal or anything, just do what I gotta do and it will come off. Let’s just say this extra weight want off my body just as much as I want it off!

Set routines in place.

Have a great month!

Give myself some Grace and remember to Breathe in and Breathe out!
