Happy Thursday! #TGIT (THANK GOD IT’S Thursday!)

Side Note:

I’ve been away from technology, (not particularly by choice!) however, here for a brief moment, I stayed as far away as possible, because nothing seemed to work quite right! Much needed… now that “break” is now officially over! And I am just totally inspired to really get back into the “life groove” again! The personal work, that I have been doing ON & FOR myself has been well worth the “life interruption,” that came with my technological challenges lately! There is a lot more personal issues involved as well, but that’s for a much later date, because I am on track again and loving life a little more each day! I am MOVING FORWARD and spending a lot of time working on gratitude, true gratitude, and it’s literally life changing. 

One thing I have been doing lately, is really being true to eating clean! When I fall off the wagon, I fall off the wagon. However, ever since my trip to Seabrook for my retreat. I have been excelling at this area. I have been very, very mindful about what I eat and what I put into my body. Really paying attention to when I am “really” hungry. And, watching out for when I am HANGRY! I’m not kidding this a real thing,and for someone like me, who experiences Binges, it’s best that I not get “Hangry!”

Thus….

I’ve been really good about my meal planning, prep, and having plenty of snack’s on hand! 

The two flavor’s I received from http://www.mightynut.com/ Vanilla and The Regular PB flavor are fantastic! They’re like a million uses for them. I was really happy that everything cooked with the powders, turned out excellent!

And, it adds to and blends well with coffee (my #1 thing I use to choose my protein,) for a quick on the go, yummy coffee with protein has always been one of my favorite post workout snacks.

Nicole’s Naturals #GFree Pancake & Waffle Mix Review and Giveaway #FitFluential

Or perhaps, I should say, “Try It Tuesday!”

Who doesn’t LOVE Waffles and Pancakes!?!?!

Recently, I was given a can of Nicole’s Naturals Gluten Free Waffle and Pancake Mix to review and host a giveaway. Through my affiliation with FitFluential.

I fell in love! I’m already ready to order my next can of Mix. It was a HIT with the whole family and they didn’t even notice or care that it was Gluten Free – Wheat Free – and Soy Free.

I did a lot of experimenting with toppings and batter add in’s such as fresh fruit, Greek yogurt! I didn’t capture a picture but, I added in Spurlina Powder on St. Patrick’s Day to make some awesome “Green” pancakes! I plan on making some Easter Gluten Free color dye waffles for Easter Breakfast/Brunch. Check out Nicole’s Naturals Pinterest Board for some awesome inspiration and recipes!

While I do love simple. Waffles and fresh strawberries. I found out the BEST add in that my family LOVED the most was Apple Cinnamon Waffles & Pancakes. because my family wanted both. Really easy! I just chopped up some beautiful Organic Gala apples, chopped them into very small pieces & cooked them until soft with some medium high Unrefined Coconut Oil.

I’ve tried lot’s of recipes to make my own GF Batter, but this was by far the cheapest, simplest, and most tasty option!

Secret Recipe… My Husband whom learned this trick from his father, has used Pancake Batter on fish & Shrimp for years, Vs. Tempura or Beer Batter.

Just made the batter as instructed and added just a touch of garlic powder. The shrimp came out perfect! Again, I used the medium high heat Coconut Oil and the shrimp was crisped to perfection. It was family approved AND requested again! It will also, be great to use as batter for any kind of white fish, green beans, asparagus, onion rings, and pretty much anything you would typically batter fry!

TIP ALERT —  WHAT TO DO WITH LEFTOVER FISH AND SHRIMP?!?!?

* Store it in a Ziploc with paper towels surrounding it. Heat oven to 350 and throw the leftovers on a cookie sheet and in 5-8 min you have crispy fish or shrimp, which tastes exactly like you made it the first time! Not soggy like if you tried to microwave it!

* Favorite dip… Ghee or whatever you use for better melted in garlic powder. (TO DIE FOR!)

Happy Halloween — Goodbye October — Hello November

Happy Halloween! & a BIG TGIF!!!

I blinked! And another Month slipped by me! Where I live in Washington State it’s also Goodbye Fall Hello Winter Month in November! So I want to make the most of these last of these FEW Fall days. The weather kin of changes from all out summer to gray, gloomy,crappy and rainy! There are very few “beautiful fall days,” before Winter hits. Winters here aren’t too bad (knock on wood!) But, as a summer girl who deals with S.A.D. more difficult! I am currently looking at Natural Sunlight Lamps in my other window, while I type this. Every year I say, “I need to get one of those!” & Every year goes by and I forget or say I’ll get one later. THE TIME IS NOW! Also, on my fall bucket list is get into the allergist! I know I am in for weekly shots, but the payoff can be huge! I spend so much time wrestling with sinus problems! I can Immunity Boost all day everyday. But, in the end I end up with Sinus Infection after Sinus Infection. I put those two acts of Self-Care at the TOP of my priority list! Also, In between Fall and Winter quarter I need to get to Florida to see my mom and soak in a little Winter Florida Sunshine won’t hurt me a bit! ❤ These are my TOP Priorities!

Now for my fall/winter Intentions and Goals!

Purpose

Living in the Land of Overwhelm.

I did a big ole’ Brain Dump last night, and continued it in my Morning Pages (at 2 freakin AM,) which I am currently going into week 8 with The Artist Way  ! I have to take a moment to be SUPER “grateful” that I am going through this and also, keeping up with A Course In Miracles.

I have a LOT going on and a long list of things I want and NEED to accomplish during the month of November! However, when I break it down into a time frame and time management every day, there is NO NEED to be stressed out about it! Everything I am doing is inching me a step closer to my dreams and goals. Super exciting stuff going on! Time management and planning is KEY!

My timer is my BEST FRIEND for projects, studying, working out, Fall/Clean Sweep with a Feng Shui twist, ME TIME, writing, etc. etc. I just have to take everything step by step — and day by day and I totally got this.

JUST BREATHE!

Today I am working on a rock solid plan to keep up with everything for the whole month. There are things that are just non-negotiable and need to get done.

– November Intentions –

~* I Intend to workout every day — no exceptions/ excuses! Even if it is a active rest day! This is at the top of the list, because this is ME time and and will help with future goals.

~* I Intend to EAT CLEAN — this is for my health and energy levels, this is just as easy as sticking to a plan, meal prep etc.

~* Carve out my study time — Just like it is my job! Eliminate distractions during this time. Time for school studying and time for self-improvement and studying for my certifications.

~* This one may seem crazy — but, it’s something I WANT! I am writing just 50,000 words in November for my Novel. That’s only 1667 words a day. This may seem like a lot of work but for me it’s play/creative time! I joined a group and an taking the challenge and I am not looking at this as one more task To-Do. I have a million stories crowding my head space, time to take the leap and get some of it out!

~* The most dreaded of these tasks is House Stuff! Again, my timer is my BEST Friend! And, sticking to my plan that I will have written out for each day.

Trust me…All this stuff can make my head spin too, if I think too much on it. So…… I am not going to think on all of it after today, I am just going to do it. I’m not working right now I GOT THIS! Breaking out planners, calendars, etc. Success is my only option! I am actually excited for this month and excited to get set in my schedule and work through my Intentions. ❤

I add Hemp Hearts to just about everything!  I add them to Juice/smoothies, salads, veggie toppers, Oatmeal, Pancakes, Desserts, Yoguart,Dip a Banana in almond butter and dip that in Hemp Hearts (YUM!) The possibilities are endless!!! Literally you can use them for just about everything. A lot of my smoothies require, just throwing every fruit/veggie that needs to be used up and adding Hemp Hearts. I also do this for Salads as well. If you blend your own homemade salad dressings, you can even throw some in the dressing and blend it!

Hello October ~ Challenge ~ Intentions ~ Success

Hello October

Hello October! I missed you and all your beautiful colors and weather!

I wish fall season lasted longer where I live. Wait, I wish all seasons lasted longer except for Winter!!!! LOL

OK, So I took a much needed blog break and I have been doing some personal growth work ON MYSELF!

I am going through A Course In Miracles with my Soul Sisters and I am in a super fantastic group for that! Also, in a super fantastic group and working my way through, The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron (AMAZING BOOK I RECOMMENDED IT FOR EVERYONE!!) I found the group for The Artist’s Way through Feng Shui expert, Dana Claudet from one of my favoritest Blogs like ever, The Tao of Dana.

My intention was to re-do the Blog, upgrade, redesign, etc. And then……………………. I got STUCK! Total creativity block and I didn’t even feel like opening it back up until it was done. But, life happens and I am in school Full time and working on other things. I am making a deal with myself to write a blog a day for a month and THEN work on upgrading and re-designing! Sounds like a fair deal! I’ve just got too much on my plate and I will be totally happy with just getting back to writing every day.

And, I found my way back in for” getting my blog going again” inspiration. 🙂 This may be a little confusing. So bear with me please. I love finding blogs, that lead me to other blogs that lead me to other blogs! LOL So, anyways one of my Soul Sisters, Marie over at Kind Inside posted about this Awesome October Challenge. I knew I was totally in and re-opening my blog and dedicating this Month to the Blog challenge~! Kind of a kick ass way to get my grove back!!!

I am changing the theme just a little for Day One just a little. Sometimes I call them “goals,” but this month seems like it is a better fit to call what I am doing this month “INTENTIONS!”

Because, simply put, my list is very simple and things that I “intend” on doing this month. Oh I have goals for sure. However, I can’t sat they will be completed during the month of October. “Goals,” I think of more long term, “Intentions” I try to do daily.

1~* Morning Pages Daily.

2~* Journal Daily. Plus ACIM lessons every day. This is different than morning pages. When I journal I write pretty neat and consciously think about what I am writing. My Morning pages are so sloppy and kind of “stream of conscious” writing or a Big ole’ Brain Dump! My journal always includes gratitude! I have so much to be grateful for!

3~* Take care of my Health! I have doctor appointments all month. working on my back and hips with Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, and Massage. I have a Physical with my family doctor and in HONOR of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I made a appointment with my OBGYN. Last, but not least… I have an appointment with an allergist.

4~* Give 110% to ONE fitness challenge. Here is my problem. I take on too many challenges and can never keep up on them all. So, other than following a little Tone It Up #FriskyFall challenge, I am partnering up with a really amazing girl,to REALLY Give MYSELF over to a 90 Day Challenge from For The Glow. I’ve been off the fitness wagon a little due to sickness and injuries and my fall Jeans from last year do not fit. Seriously, I went clothes shopping and nothing fit right, shopping for me is a hour and a half away from home and I came home empty handed! So, If your following me…get ready because I’m about to pull a serious transformation.

5~* Give 110% to my school work! So, far all my assignments and quizzes are 100%’s 🙂 This makes me happy I love my classes and I love getting good grades!!!

6~* Make Time For Myself. Yep, guess who is priority #1?!?!?! ME! Just really simple things make me happy. A long hot bath, a good book that is NOT related to school, meditation every day, and I even consider exercise ME time!!!

7~* MAKE time with my family!!! Very important! I REPEAT VIP!!!!!! Some things I plan is some date nights with hubby, I volunteer with my daughters cheer team and go to away games on the bus, and my time with my son is usually going to the movies or gaming! Also, I intend to have more family dinners!

8~* Frigging RELAX! When I feel like I am gonna explode. Just Breathe!

9~* Fall Cleaning and MAJOR clutter removal and organizing!

10~* This is kind of a BIG ONE…. WORK on my Time Management Skills to make all of the above happen!!!! Plan for SUCCESS!!! I will not over-schedule myself! I just need to set limits. Especially, when it comes to my phone, internet etc.
