Side Note:

I’ve been away from technology, (not particularly by choice!) however, here for a brief moment, I stayed as far away as possible, because nothing seemed to work quite right! Much needed… now that “break” is now officially over! And I am just totally inspired to really get back into the “life groove” again! The personal work, that I have been doing ON & FOR myself has been well worth the “life interruption,” that came with my technological challenges lately! There is a lot more personal issues involved as well, but that’s for a much later date, because I am on track again and loving life a little more each day! I am MOVING FORWARD and spending a lot of time working on gratitude, true gratitude, and it’s literally life changing. 

One thing I have been doing lately, is really being true to eating clean! When I fall off the wagon, I fall off the wagon. However, ever since my trip to Seabrook for my retreat. I have been excelling at this area. I have been very, very mindful about what I eat and what I put into my body. Really paying attention to when I am “really” hungry. And, watching out for when I am HANGRY! I’m not kidding this a real thing,and for someone like me, who experiences Binges, it’s best that I not get “Hangry!”

I’ve been really good about my meal planning, prep, and having plenty of snack’s on hand!

Monday Madness — Inspiration — Motivation — Oh My

Happy Monday!

Woke up this morning to puppies my dogs new puppies and feeling really inspired and motivated to have a great week! They are adorable but a lot of work! I think my son stayed up all night while she was having them!

O.K. So, my digital detox is over. But, I am going to take some of what I’ve learned last week, to carry me through this week. I don’t need to be plugged in 24-7 and I am going to work on being more productive when I am online. (Work smarted not harder!)

It is such a weird feeling, I have a visitor coming today and I am NOT stressed about it. Yes, I have a little cleaning to do. but I am no longer living in total CHAOS! It’s so weird to keep up on stuff around the house. I’ve been letting my home hold me back for longer than I can remember. Slowly my home is coming together. Not just my home, but ME in general. I have been practicing lots on of daily self-care. I took quite a break here, focused on myself and keeping up with everything. Took lots of downtime while I have been in “transition” getting my Mother in Law moved in and back to better health, getting my home in order and keeping up with daily routines.

I can do more!

I consider myself a lifelong learner. Besides school, I spend my free time…. learning! I love learning about  different things. I realized how un-balanced all the areas in my life are. It’s getting better, but it’s still a lot of work that needs to be done. With everything that has been crazy that has been going on in my life, I still feel like I am in control. And… guess what?!?! I AM in control.

YES!

I’m really excited to get to the gym today and get my week started off right. Other than some allergies, the “I’m sick” excuse isn’t gonna “fly” anymore!

I have goals, dreams intentions……..

When I think about the main thing that I need to be doing in order to achieve balance in all my areas, my health is priority #1. It’s time to start 1/2 Marathon training, daily yoga, and work on my “own personal” exercise routines.

Another BIG focus…..

Going 100% Gluten/Wheat Free.

I know I’ve mentioned it before, but it’s a lot easier to “say” that I will do it than it is to actually “live it.” and Guess What?!?!? It’s time to live it. I’m not one of those people that are going on some “new” craze. I really should have no wheat or gluten and I know this. Every time I slip, I physically regret it. That always doesn’t stop me. Gonna start getting super creative in the Kitchen and just come to terms with “No More.” There are plenty of things that I can eat that I don’t NEED to put my body through pain just to have one stupid snack or meal that doesn’t serve me as fuel.

I may be a slow learner, but I am getting it! I feel myself coming together and it feels amazing!

This week….

* I choose to focus on my house, get the areas organized that I have been avoiding. (Trust me there are a lot, even if the main areas are company/visitor friendly!

* I choose to FUEL my body with “real food.”

* I choose to get to the gym everyday! (#noExcuses)

* Time management. Yes, I need to work on this. My digital detox may be over, however I need to keep a actually schedule and limit my time on stuff that sucks me in to getting stuck.

I’m gonna keep on keeping on! Keep clearing space, space, and more space. Make room for some new exciting stuff to come into my life.

Seriously, you should go check her out, Dana from The Tao of Dana is pretty amazing, and even if your not in the camp the blog and her You Tube Channel is filled with lots of inspiration and just some really good and positive ideas!

It’s not all superstitious Feng Shui, it’s just a energy thing. I mean ear ARE made up of energy!!! The changes that are happening feel like a “miracle” to me.

It’s all about complete “Wellness!” Mind, Body, & Soul connection!

Feed My Soul Sunday — Ready – Set – GLOW

Happy Sunday!

Started off this morning with my Morning Pages,  meditation, and lighting candles & incense!

Got a little nostalgic last night reading through old journals, and blogs about my “yearly tradition,” The Resolution Challenge from For The Glow. Basically, it’s a Real food Detox. No sugar, meat, or Dairy. Typically in years past there was no coffee either, this year this week I am allowed one cup of Organic Coffee.

This is not as easy as it sounds. While I have had wonderful success with this in the past, I easily forget that it is not easy. Having the grocery list and my meals & workouts pretty much planned out for me is great, but the withdraws from everything (mentally and physically) takes it’s toll on me. And, I have to confess that I did NOT have the healthiest of Holidays! So, going in this year as opposed to last year is going to be much harder on me. The first year, it was a big wake up call, but I survived… So I will survive again this year! I am actually very excited about it!

Planning & Prepping & Shopping & Cleaning today! I am setting myself up for success.  Time to GLOW!

Live Everyday With Intention!

Every morning this week… “Me Time!” I am waking up early and setting my daily intentions, journal writing everything from foods, to workouts, to what kind of mood I am in etc. I am also keeping a running journal of my “Time.” Time management is NOT one of my strengths. In fact time really just seems to slip by me throughout the day!

Every morning this week… I intend to #getupandglow !!! Water with lemon and fresh ginger first!

Every morning this week… I will get my workout in first. After my daily “Me time” my workout is first on the list!

Every Morning this week… I will set a block of time for cleaning & de-cluttering!

Every Morning this week… I will complete my homework before I can take a nap.

Every Afternoon this week… I will take a nap (lol.)

Every Evening this week… my intention is to get a evening routine in place.

– — – – – My Evening routine: “MORE ME TIME!”clean the kitchen after dinner, re-pick-up the areas that I had already cleaned, 15 min. just de-cluttering or paperwork, do some yoga or stretching, take a hot bath (probably lots of detox baths,) light some candles &, reflect on my day, journal, meditate, and reflect on my day.

Every Evening this week… I will not go to bed with out planning my intentions for the next day!!!

Self-care

So, those are my weekly Intentions!

Setting the “tone” for my week right now. Getting organized is going to be so good for “My Soul!” (P.S. Start Catalyst Camp AKA. De-clutter Camp tomorrow too!) I am actually excited about this week! So, between the two challenges.  I am working my way towards success and balance in my life. Today, is my “real” first day of the New Year.  It’s all about ME! Every step I take will be in the direction of my goals, dreams, and happiness!

Well, that pretty much sums it all up! I am excited to share my weekly successes here! I am ready to make this week AMAZING!

Just Another Random Sunday

Happy Sunday!

I have to admit, I wish there were more Sundays in the month!

I have a week and a few days left in this quarter of school! I am SO looking forward to my break! This whole quarter has been about keeping up, catching up, and I will welcome the break! So, I can not feel behind during the Month I am off! I have big life changes coming soon… I am excited about upgrading this blog and re-designing it. Also, creating another blog! Changes are scary! I think that’s why I’ve waited so long. I am excited to start the next AMAZING chapter in my life! The time is now…

Time for me to follow my dreams and “Do More Than Just Exist!”

I choose all these things! Yup, sure do! I really do feel gratitude each and ever day. I feel like I am totally evolving as a person. I feel it with everything with me, that the future is looking bright and good things, and good life changes are coming my way!

Today, was my last day in the Deepak & Oprah 21 day Meditation challenge and I am so grateful for the last 21 days! If you have not done one of these free mediation challenges. I can’t recommended them enough.

Regardless, of being on a meditation challenge, I meditate daily. If you don’t know where to start just search You Tube or look up a app for guided meditations. My personal challenge is increase my time in silence following guided meditations.

I started my Bodypeace Journey Discovery! So far it’s been a real emotional roller coaster. Good thing I like Roller Coasters. The book written my Heather Waxman and Kasey Arena AKA Powercakesis really helping me deal with my own issues. It’slike the last piece of the puzzle that is my life. I’m changing. I can feel it.

Working on relationship with food. While I may love food, food doesn’t always love me back. I’ve recently discovered how bad Wheat, Gluten, and Sugar is wreaking havoc on my body from my Doctor and Physical Therapist. Unfortunately, I am coming to to terms that I need to give it all up for good. My personal health depends on it. I’ve literally been having a slight breakdown over this. I mean Wheat is in everything. And, when I spend so much effort to eat healthy, I have got to stop they cycle of self sabotage.

Be on the lookout for more food posts as I make this Lifestyle change. I’m not going to call it a diet. This is a permanent change. Also, I will be sharing more about my BODYpeace  discovery.

I’m not gonna talk about the media, I’m sure we all know about this topic and can agree that we really need to get it though that these images are not real.

I am working on showering myself with self-love, so that I can give more love!

Moving Forward Monday

Happy Monday~*

Ahhhhh… a fresh New Monday in a fresh new Month!

It started off good, I woke up at a decent time 5am. Which is good! I typically had been waking up everyday at 4 and dragging all day! This has been the time for the last few days. Before the time change all of a sudden, I went from 4am to 6 am, and then with the time change BAM 5am feeling like 6am! I FREAKIN LOVE it!

I woke up got my morning pages done and was dressed and out the door heading to the gym ay 6am. Got my “test run” in. Let’s just say I have a starting point. Came home and took a nice shower that turned into a detox bath, because my body felt achy today.  When I was doing dishes, I briefly noticed my back pain radiating through my back, legs, hips! BUT, when I got into my real workout, I realized… “Houston We Have a Problem Here!” My Hips/Back/Legs are off and the back pain was/is horrible. I made the decision to quit messing around and get in for Physical Therapy. I’ve been trying to avoid this. Been seeing a Chiropractor sporadically, and thanks to insurance I get a massage once a month. But, It’s just not enough. My problem is way bigger than that. I haven’t been listening to my body and the problem has been progressively been getting worse. No wonder I have been skipping certain workouts on purpose and sticking with stuff that won’t hurt. OK sorry that was a long rant, bottom line I listened and now it’s time to fix the problem! and, my point being that I haven’t been listening. Or if I have I’ve been ignoring the voice!

In other news, I actually met my word goal of 2500 words a day towards my Novel Challenge for NaNowrimo. Basic goal was like 1667 words a day, but I decided 2500 was the number I need. It was super fun, and it didn’t even feel like a chore.  I am so relived that this isn’t as hard as I had been making it out to be, like UM, my whole life. I have always wanted to write a Novel or two or 5! I wasn’t so sure how everything was going to balance out by me taking on this challenge. If I could still have time to workout, blog, and homework! But, as it turns out adding this one thing that is time consuming, that I LOVE to do, was the key to me completing other tasks. I planned really good, did food prep etc. 🙂

Now, I have to re-vamp my workout schedule and claim this as “Yoga Week!”

Maybe, I have found my balance?!?!? 🙂

As we bring in another new month, it’s nice to take a coffee break and take in my visions, dreams, goals, while enjoying the peace and quiet of a sleeping household.

If we were having coffee this Morning… It might be a little bit of a strategy session, I would probably bring up everything that is stressing me out and overwhelming me to enlist your help for me to get my routines in place, in order to have a stress-less November.  I’m sure you would come up with some kick @$$ ideas!

I would tell you haw Mercury Retrograde Kicked my booty in the month of October! I had been so frustrated, that even writing a blog post was a struggle. I think I got to the bottom of the “Real” issues I was having. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out ME! My life and what direction I want to go with it! It’s not that I don’t want to keep up on this blog, it’s more that I want to upgrade it, make it better, really learn how to do it right! And, another BIG HUGE Epiphany is that I don’t ONLY want to write about Health, Wellness, and Fitness etc. Maybe for this blog YES, but I’m doing something DIFFERENT!!!! I have been trying for years, and years, and years to just get over myself and just DO IT! I started writing my first Novel. Sure, I have had many  failed attempts, but for the challenge for National Write a Novel in November Challenge at NaNoWriMo I am setting a goal of 2500 words a day, when the challenge is for 50,000 words, which would be 1667 a day. I’m writing somewhere between Fantasy, Horror, and Romance Genre. But, who knows which direction this will take me.  If your up for a different kind of challenge JOIN ME! This is gonna be fun!

I would tell you about some of the Artist Dates I have been having with myself. Since I have been reading The Artist Way! One of my favorites is just tinkering around at the local health food stores.  Trying new stuff. I also bought my first Sage Stick that I will use after I get some major housework/de-cluttering done! Want to help me?!?!?! I will pay you LOL! J/K
