Awesome Vs. Average Workout — #dishthefit –Tuesday Link-Up

Happy Tuesday!

How do you compare an Average vs. Awesome workout?

For me the answer is always as simple as: MY most Awesome Workout is always the one that I didn’t want to go to! You have a workout planned, perhaps it’s an evening workout for a new class with a friend. And all of a sudden throughout the day you start to think of excuses!

My personal favorite excuses….

I need to spend time with family. Even when you see them all the time. Oh, don’t get me wrong family time IS important. But, I know my family will survive for one hour without me, and when I come back refreshed, I will be in a much better mood!

I need to clean the house. Really?!?! I haven’t done anything all day and I decide that this one little hour is the “one” that I need to be cleaning the house?

I’m too tired. Wrong! I will feel MORE energized after my workout.

It’s Raining or too cold! There are those days you just want to lounge around in your jammies and fuzzy socks and turn the fireplace on. How about a workout? That will warm me up. Hot yoga on these days is the BEST!

I have or homework or work stuff! Nope, that one goes back to the energy thing! I will have more energy and focus after my workout!

This list could go on forever! I love the saying you’ll never regret a workout!

An Average Workout:

*Your injured and you know it!

*You try something too hard when you know your body just needs some yoga!

*You didn’t get ANY sleep. That excuse is valid. Listen to your body your not going to get a good workout with less than 3-4 hours sleep!

My Favorite AWESOME workout is always Yoga. This can be done with 5 hours of sleep! I can go there without actually getting ready, just throw on some boots, I don’t even have to get ready. I have NEVER regretted a yoga workout.

My second Favorite Awesome workout is the…. At Home Workout! You don’t even have to get out of your jammies and fuzzy socks!

Happy Halloween — Goodbye October — Hello November

Happy Halloween! & a BIG TGIF!!!

I blinked! And another Month slipped by me! Where I live in Washington State it’s also Goodbye Fall Hello Winter Month in November! So I want to make the most of these last of these FEW Fall days. The weather kin of changes from all out summer to gray, gloomy,crappy and rainy! There are very few “beautiful fall days,” before Winter hits. Winters here aren’t too bad (knock on wood!) But, as a summer girl who deals with S.A.D. more difficult! I am currently looking at Natural Sunlight Lamps in my other window, while I type this. Every year I say, “I need to get one of those!” & Every year goes by and I forget or say I’ll get one later. THE TIME IS NOW! Also, on my fall bucket list is get into the allergist! I know I am in for weekly shots, but the payoff can be huge! I spend so much time wrestling with sinus problems! I can Immunity Boost all day everyday. But, in the end I end up with Sinus Infection after Sinus Infection. I put those two acts of Self-Care at the TOP of my priority list! Also, In between Fall and Winter quarter I need to get to Florida to see my mom and soak in a little Winter Florida Sunshine won’t hurt me a bit! ❤ These are my TOP Priorities!

Now for my fall/winter Intentions and Goals!

Purpose

Living in the Land of Overwhelm.

I did a big ole’ Brain Dump last night, and continued it in my Morning Pages (at 2 freakin AM,) which I am currently going into week 8 with The Artist Way  ! I have to take a moment to be SUPER “grateful” that I am going through this and also, keeping up with A Course In Miracles.

I have a LOT going on and a long list of things I want and NEED to accomplish during the month of November! However, when I break it down into a time frame and time management every day, there is NO NEED to be stressed out about it! Everything I am doing is inching me a step closer to my dreams and goals. Super exciting stuff going on! Time management and planning is KEY!

My timer is my BEST FRIEND for projects, studying, working out, Fall/Clean Sweep with a Feng Shui twist, ME TIME, writing, etc. etc. I just have to take everything step by step — and day by day and I totally got this.

JUST BREATHE!

Today I am working on a rock solid plan to keep up with everything for the whole month. There are things that are just non-negotiable and need to get done.

– November Intentions –

~* I Intend to workout every day — no exceptions/ excuses! Even if it is a active rest day! This is at the top of the list, because this is ME time and and will help with future goals.

~* I Intend to EAT CLEAN — this is for my health and energy levels, this is just as easy as sticking to a plan, meal prep etc.

~* Carve out my study time — Just like it is my job! Eliminate distractions during this time. Time for school studying and time for self-improvement and studying for my certifications.

~* This one may seem crazy — but, it’s something I WANT! I am writing just 50,000 words in November for my Novel. That’s only 1667 words a day. This may seem like a lot of work but for me it’s play/creative time! I joined a group and an taking the challenge and I am not looking at this as one more task To-Do. I have a million stories crowding my head space, time to take the leap and get some of it out!

~* The most dreaded of these tasks is House Stuff! Again, my timer is my BEST Friend! And, sticking to my plan that I will have written out for each day.

Trust me…All this stuff can make my head spin too, if I think too much on it. So…… I am not going to think on all of it after today, I am just going to do it. I’m not working right now I GOT THIS! Breaking out planners, calendars, etc. Success is my only option! I am actually excited for this month and excited to get set in my schedule and work through my Intentions. ❤

Fabulous Friday Fun — Wish List — Outfits for the Season

TGIF this week, for sure!!!! This has been a really long week! Tonight is my night to volunteer for my daughters cheer them. Which makes for a long, but rewarding day! I go on the school bus to away games with fifty cheerleaders with the coach.

Confession Time!! Today’s theme was “OOTD”Outfit of the Day. However, If you seen my somewhat empty closet and empty dresser, you might be shocked! My outfit isn’t even gonna be picture worthy! My warmest Yoga Pants and a big School Spirit Hoodie and Boots. Honestly, I have nothing really cute that fits. Clothes have come last on my “to buy” list for a long long time. When did this happen? Oh, a little after I got married and started having kids! I have seemed to put myself last on the shopping list. This is just “unacceptable!” I don’t even own a jewelry box for gosh sakes! The first thing I but when I do shop, is plain yoga pants and running/gym shoes. I am always “waiting,” I will buy that later, or buy that when I have more money, or when I reach a smaller size. I don’t even LOVE my current running shoes. I thought they were cute, but now they are just uncomfortable.

So, I will make a wish list for Fall/Winter. Starting from the feet up. Workout clothes to evening wear. I am even going to make a new board for Pinterest.

If that is true, that is just sad! It’s time for me to at least bet myself some basics. I am going to pretend money is no object!

First, I need a good pair of Kicks for the Gym! A outfit for the gym, work, a Night out and PJ’s!

Happy November~* Or should I say Happy #MOVEmber <3

Not, only is it time to set the clocks back it’s time to………………………….Image

Happy November 1st! It’s so weird that it’s 7 am and still dark out! Here is a quick catch up on where I have been and why I have put off blogging for so long. Well, lets go Back to August, I spent three weeks with a god awful flu! Got better, then started getting, back on track, then my uncle passed away in September,  I had to go take care of my mom in Florida, and be there for the memorial. I returned home in the middle of October. I had to cancel all my classes for Fall, because I was gone too long and I used my school money for the trip. So the last couple weeks I have been working on getting back on track!!! So, far doing very good!!! ❤ I have gained weight since August, and it’s time to shed those extra lbs so I can get back in my jeans! LOL~* I am kinda ready for the time to change, so I can wake up earlier. I’ve had days where I have slept in too long, and next thing I know, the day is over. But, with less hours of daylight, it also makes the days go by faster!

This girl is ON A MISSION!!!! I have some pretty lofty goals for this month. My one BIG goal is to workout, run, walk, yoga, or even a recovery workout #everydamnday !! Image

I am just really excited to get this NEW month going! I am feeling very motivated and inspired!!! I am going to work on posting here at least every other day. Even if it’s just to stop by and add some motivational quotes!
