Thankful Thursday — Vacation Time

Happy Thursday!

I am so THANKFUL today! I was so excited today, that I literally sprung from bed at 3AM and did a happy dance. Then I woke up and started my list of everything to take care of before I actually get out the door. Have a lot of homework, clean, packing, etc. But, I am becoming so much more Organized, that it’s going to be easy pretty easy to get ready, just a little time consuming. I decided last night It was bed early instead or getting everything ready last night. Well it wouldn’t feel like a “vacation” if I wasn’t scrambling around and forgetting stuff.

Where am I going? Well, it’s not a tropical beach, but I’ll take it!

At any rate… a getaway is much needed! It sure beats all these “stay cations” that I tend to do in the Winter!

Can you say “Cabin Fever?!?!?!?!!”

Not sure how long I will be gone for, but I will be grateful for anytime that me an hubby get!I am running away from the last couple weeks. I can’t decide if I want to totally “unplug” electronics, while I am away. I am trying to stay until Sunday, because I got invited to a Lorna Jane Downtown Seattle event, workout with Jenn from, For the Glow on Sunday afternoon. we planned on coming home Sunday. But now I really want to stay!

Seattle isn’t that far from me, about a four hour drive. One good thing is….I know that it’s the healthiest place on Earth and I am really good at staying on track in Seattle!

Anyways, a Vacation is a Vacation! I’m leaving kids in charge of Mother in Law, or am I leaving Mother in Law in charge of kids? Defiantly the Kids are in charge LOL!

Note to self — Need to plan MORE getaways! I real Vacation with a Beach and Sunshine… needs to get planned for Spring Break A.S.A.P. !!!!

Pretty much packing workout gear and one nice outfit. 😉 Forgetting stuff like underwear and socks on purpose so that I “have” to but new haha!

I have a lot to do and hubby it the type that jumps out of bed and says, “leaving in five min,” so I better get busy. ❤

Dear Self,

Hello YOU!

What are you doing out of bed at 1 AM? Oh, couldn’t sleep again, too much on your mind. Stop going to bed so early! Make sure you have things finished before you go to sleep, so you quit waking up all night long with instant replays going on in your head about what you need to do, what you didn’t get that day, and what you need to do tomorrow and the next day and the next day! Stop stressing out over nothing. The is no point. You are on the right path, you have everything you need. The Universe has your back.

Again…I cannot stress this enough, stop worrying and stressing out all the time over nothing. Your future is bright, all you have to do it take a deep breath, be grateful, and enjoy the ride. You know you are on the right path. All this signs are there and excellent job there on picking up on them. Now it’s time to piece the puzzle together and put in the work that you know will not be hard at all. Take the leap, you know what for.

Monday Madness — Getting Started and Finding Balance

Why and What Am I Starting?

CLEANING HOUSE — This going to be my very personal, Monday Feature on my blog about My Messy Home. I am starting a 8 week journey with The Tao of Dana called Catalyst camp for clearing clutter and finding balance in my home. Why? Because, I feel like mess and  home clutter have ruled my life for long enough! I really feel that this has been holding me back in every aspect of my life. This is a huge task for me and I don’t want to get burned out!

Cleaning My Body — Detox Day One  — which starts today. This I will talk about on another day here in the Blog. Why? I do this every year. This is connected to my home, because I need the energy to work my way though my home!

Today is Day One — I count today as the real first day in my New Year. Today is also, my first day of school. Everything seems to start today. It will all come down to three things — Balance — Commitment — Planning.

I woke up a few times all night, finally got out of bed too early (3am) ready to get started. Woke up with my mind running 100 mph.  full force! Going through the first week of school work, making lists, watching videos for Clutter Camp, and writing in my journal and setting solid intentions.

First of all — me and 3am are NOT friends. But, I had to get everything written out, spent some time meditating, and really going over my plan for the week, adding in the new stuff that I could not access until this morning. Reading my Syllabus’s for my classes and In fact, this week for the detox I am allowed one cup of Organic Coffee. This was not enough. week two no coffee EEK!

Balance — I am ready to go take a nap after I finish this blog knowing that my intentions are set, and I have read what is going on with all of these challenges. I may be a little overwhelmed, but they are all connected in order to achieve balance. Getting enough sleep is a MAJOR thing I need to get a handle on. I don’t WANT to be waking up every morning with lists and “stuff” that needs to be done stressing me out before I even step out of bed.

Confidence — Now that I have reviewed everything, I know what I am in for. And, I totally got this $hit! I can go back for a nap knowing what my plan is and what I want to accomplish over the next 6-8 weeks & balance in school, fitness certifications, what I am gonna eat,and what my workouts will be.

Planning — I feel set with my plan without getting overwhelmed! I am not going to clean my whole home in a day. It took YEARS to get like this I am not expecting it to magically cleaned, organized, and fixed up overnight. It will take the full 8 weeks! The Detox is going to be a challenge mentally and physically. I know this, this is my third year so I know what to expect and how AWESOME I am going to feel in a couple weeks! If you don’t know me I LIVE for challenges and for everything I have a great support system in place and accountability partners!

Link-Party! I love that I had already committed to the focus on my home and dedicate one day a week on the blog to update progress! Not a whole lot to report yet (It is Day One after all!) I have been clearing some spaces the last couple weeks. But, I am currently struggling to keep up on dailies and add in the clearing of clutter!

OK! I am ready! ….For a NAP! Now that I have my ducks in a row, I can take a nap in peace and without stress or worry about what is in store for me!

Feed My Soul Sunday — Ready – Set – GLOW

Happy Sunday!

Started off this morning with my Morning Pages,  meditation, and lighting candles & incense!

Got a little nostalgic last night reading through old journals, and blogs about my “yearly tradition,” The Resolution Challenge from For The Glow. Basically, it’s a Real food Detox. No sugar, meat, or Dairy. Typically in years past there was no coffee either, this year this week I am allowed one cup of Organic Coffee.

This is not as easy as it sounds. While I have had wonderful success with this in the past, I easily forget that it is not easy. Having the grocery list and my meals & workouts pretty much planned out for me is great, but the withdraws from everything (mentally and physically) takes it’s toll on me. And, I have to confess that I did NOT have the healthiest of Holidays! So, going in this year as opposed to last year is going to be much harder on me. The first year, it was a big wake up call, but I survived… So I will survive again this year! I am actually very excited about it!

Planning & Prepping & Shopping & Cleaning today! I am setting myself up for success.  Time to GLOW!

Live Everyday With Intention!

Every morning this week… “Me Time!” I am waking up early and setting my daily intentions, journal writing everything from foods, to workouts, to what kind of mood I am in etc. I am also keeping a running journal of my “Time.” Time management is NOT one of my strengths. In fact time really just seems to slip by me throughout the day!

Every morning this week… I intend to #getupandglow !!! Water with lemon and fresh ginger first!

Every morning this week… I will get my workout in first. After my daily “Me time” my workout is first on the list!

Every Morning this week… I will set a block of time for cleaning & de-cluttering!

Every Morning this week… I will complete my homework before I can take a nap.

Every Afternoon this week… I will take a nap (lol.)

Every Evening this week… my intention is to get a evening routine in place.

– — – – – My Evening routine: “MORE ME TIME!”clean the kitchen after dinner, re-pick-up the areas that I had already cleaned, 15 min. just de-cluttering or paperwork, do some yoga or stretching, take a hot bath (probably lots of detox baths,) light some candles &, reflect on my day, journal, meditate, and reflect on my day.

Every Evening this week… I will not go to bed with out planning my intentions for the next day!!!

Every Evening this week… I will #glowtosleep early!

Self-care

So, those are my weekly Intentions!

Setting the “tone” for my week right now. Getting organized is going to be so good for “My Soul!” (P.S. Start Catalyst Camp AKA. De-clutter Camp tomorrow too!) I am actually excited about this week! So, between the two challenges.  I am working my way towards success and balance in my life. Today, is my “real” first day of the New Year.  It’s all about ME! Every step I take will be in the direction of my goals, dreams, and happiness!

Well, that pretty much sums it all up! I am excited to share my weekly successes here! I am ready to make this week AMAZING!

As we bring in another new month, it’s nice to take a coffee break and take in my visions, dreams, goals, while enjoying the peace and quiet of a sleeping household.

If we were having coffee this Morning… It might be a little bit of a strategy session, I would probably bring up everything that is stressing me out and overwhelming me to enlist your help for me to get my routines in place, in order to have a stress-less November.  I’m sure you would come up with some kick @$$ ideas!

I would tell you haw Mercury Retrograde Kicked my booty in the month of October! I had been so frustrated, that even writing a blog post was a struggle. I think I got to the bottom of the “Real” issues I was having. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out ME! My life and what direction I want to go with it! It’s not that I don’t want to keep up on this blog, it’s more that I want to upgrade it, make it better, really learn how to do it right! And, another BIG HUGE Epiphany is that I don’t ONLY want to write about Health, Wellness, and Fitness etc. Maybe for this blog YES, but I’m doing something DIFFERENT!!!! I have been trying for years, and years, and years to just get over myself and just DO IT! I started writing my first Novel. Sure, I have had many  failed attempts, but for the challenge for National Write a Novel in November Challenge at NaNoWriMo I am setting a goal of 2500 words a day, when the challenge is for 50,000 words, which would be 1667 a day. I’m writing somewhere between Fantasy, Horror, and Romance Genre. But, who knows which direction this will take me.  If your up for a different kind of challenge JOIN ME! This is gonna be fun!

I would tell you about some of the Artist Dates I have been having with myself. Since I have been reading The Artist Way! One of my favorites is just tinkering around at the local health food stores.  Trying new stuff. I also bought my first Sage Stick that I will use after I get some major housework/de-cluttering done! Want to help me?!?!?! I will pay you LOL! J/K

Happy Halloween — Goodbye October — Hello November

Happy Halloween! & a BIG TGIF!!!

I blinked! And another Month slipped by me! Where I live in Washington State it’s also Goodbye Fall Hello Winter Month in November! So I want to make the most of these last of these FEW Fall days. The weather kin of changes from all out summer to gray, gloomy,crappy and rainy! There are very few “beautiful fall days,” before Winter hits. Winters here aren’t too bad (knock on wood!) But, as a summer girl who deals with S.A.D. more difficult! I am currently looking at Natural Sunlight Lamps in my other window, while I type this. Every year I say, “I need to get one of those!” & Every year goes by and I forget or say I’ll get one later. THE TIME IS NOW! Also, on my fall bucket list is get into the allergist! I know I am in for weekly shots, but the payoff can be huge! I spend so much time wrestling with sinus problems! I can Immunity Boost all day everyday. But, in the end I end up with Sinus Infection after Sinus Infection. I put those two acts of Self-Care at the TOP of my priority list! Also, In between Fall and Winter quarter I need to get to Florida to see my mom and soak in a little Winter Florida Sunshine won’t hurt me a bit! ❤ These are my TOP Priorities!

Now for my fall/winter Intentions and Goals!

Purpose

Living in the Land of Overwhelm.

I did a big ole’ Brain Dump last night, and continued it in my Morning Pages (at 2 freakin AM,) which I am currently going into week 8 with The Artist Way  ! I have to take a moment to be SUPER “grateful” that I am going through this and also, keeping up with A Course In Miracles.

I have a LOT going on and a long list of things I want and NEED to accomplish during the month of November! However, when I break it down into a time frame and time management every day, there is NO NEED to be stressed out about it! Everything I am doing is inching me a step closer to my dreams and goals. Super exciting stuff going on! Time management and planning is KEY!

My timer is my BEST FRIEND for projects, studying, working out, Fall/Clean Sweep with a Feng Shui twist, ME TIME, writing, etc. etc. I just have to take everything step by step — and day by day and I totally got this.

JUST BREATHE!

Today I am working on a rock solid plan to keep up with everything for the whole month. There are things that are just non-negotiable and need to get done.

– November Intentions –

~* I Intend to workout every day — no exceptions/ excuses! Even if it is a active rest day! This is at the top of the list, because this is ME time and and will help with future goals.

~* I Intend to EAT CLEAN — this is for my health and energy levels, this is just as easy as sticking to a plan, meal prep etc.

~* Carve out my study time — Just like it is my job! Eliminate distractions during this time. Time for school studying and time for self-improvement and studying for my certifications.

~* This one may seem crazy — but, it’s something I WANT! I am writing just 50,000 words in November for my Novel. That’s only 1667 words a day. This may seem like a lot of work but for me it’s play/creative time! I joined a group and an taking the challenge and I am not looking at this as one more task To-Do. I have a million stories crowding my head space, time to take the leap and get some of it out!

~* The most dreaded of these tasks is House Stuff! Again, my timer is my BEST Friend! And, sticking to my plan that I will have written out for each day.

Trust me…All this stuff can make my head spin too, if I think too much on it. So…… I am not going to think on all of it after today, I am just going to do it. I’m not working right now I GOT THIS! Breaking out planners, calendars, etc. Success is my only option! I am actually excited for this month and excited to get set in my schedule and work through my Intentions. ❤

Sensational Sunday — Random Thoughts

Happy Sensational Sunday!

MAN I’VE BEEN BUSY! (In a good, AMAZING WAY!) Sorry, for my lack of keeping up on the blog! First of all school is Fabulous! It’s a little more than I bargained for in the homework/assignment department! But, making it work! Three all online classes is NUTS! I knew that going in, but it’s kinda like having a baby! You forget the PAIN and work that goes into all of it! (LOL!) I made it through the cleanse I was doing last week. I feel SO much better. Nothing crazy,  just really a eat real food cleanse! Got some good workouts in. Feel like I have FINALLY taken care of my back/hip problems! Now, I just need maintenance! Feeling like myself again and it’s beyond words.

And, The Truth Shall Set You Free… After posting a little about my not eating as good as I should be, and gaining weight, I felt the biggest, hugest, RELIEF off of my shoulders! And, I talked to my friends about it as well. It was like I did a 180. And, just getting it out there, was enough to get me back on track. I went to the doctor last Friday and my cholesterol is WAY too high! I mean WAY! So, it was a major wake up call! Ever since then, I had some “Heart to Hearts” with my good friends and it just clicked and change happened! Not on the outside, but on the inside! It feels like my last blog post was a million years ago! I consciously made the decision to do better and I have. There is something really amazing about the Mind/Body connection! Then all the other pieces of my life started falling into the right places!

I hope you had an amazing weekend! I know I did! It started out on Thursday with a girls day trip out of town to go get a book for school, some shopping, and had a wonderful Girls Night out on Friday! I have been spending the weekend doing glowFIT instructor training. I will be all day today, as well. I literally made the decision Thursday to GO FOR IT! And, I am so excited! I finally feel like…… I am exactly where I need to be in life and doing WHAT I should be doing! It’s the BEST feeling in the world! I am so “Inspired!”

Life

Anyways, busy, busy! My school work is going to be, a major catch up session, and I got this! No worries! At first I was stressed out and deiced it is not worth stressing out over! I’ve totally GOT THIS! Good things are happening and I am staying on the train, riding it out, and taking time to “enjoy the view!”
